Capt. Giancarlo BUONO

Director Safety and Flight Operations - Europe

Capt. Giancarlo BUONO is the Director Safety and Flight Operations for Europe at the International Air Transport
Association (IATA), based in Brussels, Belgium. In this function he is responsible for the delivery of IATA Safety and Flight Operations Strategy in Europe and for the liaison with European Regulators, the EC and EASA on issues relating to air transport Safety and Flight Operations.

His professional expertise consists of extensive flight operations and quality-safety management experiences. With 30 years of experience in the Air Forces and Airline industry he is currently qualified as a Captain on the Airbus A-320 family.

He holds a Master Science Degree in “Air Transport Management“ from London City University and has been involved in a
number of international Safety and Quality developments programs.

He is qualified as an Accident Investigator and as an IATA and ISO Quality and Safety Auditor. He has received formal
training in Human Factors and Crisis Communication.

Capt. BUONO is visiting professor in Airline Regulatory Compliance at London City University and in Safety Management at
Geneva University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

He has significant expertise on managing large global delivery and support teams where he’s fostering service and care automation practices and tool as a key differentiator for businesses operations continuous improvement.
He holds a master’s degree on computer science from University of Salerno, Italy, he’s member of Nokia Italy country management team and holds a Nokia Master Coach Certification.

Nandita BHATT

Nandita has spent the past 25years in aviation, specializing in airport design, management training. She has worked in work in multilingual and multicultural environment. In 2015, Nandita shifted her focus to airport management training, she is ICAO qualified Instructor and Course Developer with ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS program and also giving the training at IAA. Being an IAP she has been in class instructor for ATS course of the ACI/ICAO global Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme. Chairman excellence award for generating STPs and Women’s Award at IPE. Very close to her heart, she works with her friends to educate underprivileged kids under a forum called Education for ALLL. She was the speaker earlier this year at Passenger Terminal Expo March 2017, Stockholm 2018 and Singapore. At present in capacity of GM Arch APD Udaipur, wherein in year she has been nominated as WICCI aviation national council member, got selected among top ten women globally to be followed on LinkedIn.

In 2020 Arnd Kikker was appointed Managing Director of AERQ, a joint venture between LG Electronics and Lufthansa Technik. Arnd began his career as a Consultant for the Airbus Future Projects Office in Hamburg, Germany in 2006. In 2010 Arnd Kikkert ransferred to Lufthansa Technik as a Manager Business Unit Strategy & Business Development. He then became Manager Corporate Strategy & Business Development. In 2015 he was asked to work as Head of Corporate Strategy & Business Development/M&A. In this position Arnd among other things was responsible for Lufthansa Technik’s strategy process for the corporate strategy as well as the strategy development on board level. Subsequently Arnd became Senior Director Business Development, Finance & Incubation in 2018. As a department lead, he held the responsibility for all administration functions within Product Division Original Equipment Innovation (PD OEI) – Finance, Controlling, Foresight & Strategy, Business Development, Product Planning & Incubation, Process Management & Marketing.

Arnd Kikker was born on May 22, 1979. He received his Diplom Ingenieur at the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg. During his studies he studied abroad at the Moscow State Aviation Institute, Russia and the Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

Jeremy WHITE

Transport Director

Over the past 25 years, Jeremy has worked on world-leading transport design projects. Most recently, leading the design of the interior of the world’s first public spaceship for Virgin Galactic and creating the bid winning vision for Alstom-Hitachi’s HS2 high speed trains tender.

Jeremy’s rail design experience spans from rail refurbishment projects to the design of new build high speed trains. His clients have included rolling stock manufactures, rail operators, ROSCO’s and railway suppliers. Most notably, his work for Flytoget, Oslo’s premium airport rail service, delivered new rolling stock, from concept through to production and the creation of a new brand identity system – securing the company’s position as Norway’s favourite customer service brand.

The transport team he leads at Seymourpowell are constantly challenging existing product and service paradigms in the quest to define the future of transportation for road, rail and air.

Abinaya KANNAN

Technical Programme Manager
Abinaya Kannan joined EUROCAE in June 2021. She is the Technical Programme Manager for several EUROCAE Working Groups, WG-63 on Complex Aircraft Systems, WG-92 on VDL Mode 2, WG-105 on UAS, WG-108 on ATN/IPS, and WG-112 on VTOL, and serves as the Secretary for European UAS Standards Coordination Group (EUSCG).

Prior to EUROCAE, she worked at AIRlabs Austria on a service contract to research and elaborate stakeholder processes and contact points in each federal province in Austria pertaining to regulations for unmanned aircraft systems. She was a quality management intern at Beechcraft Berlin Aviation GmbH, where she developed and established an implementation plan to gain ISO 9001:2015 certification of their quality management system.

She has also worked and freelanced as a content writer, editor, and content manager at several companies in India.

She holds a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering from Hindustan University, India, and a Master of Science in Engineering in Aviation from FH Joanneum, Austria.

Jasmin joined Lufthansa Group in 2018 after pursuing her Masters Degree in Psychology at Goethe University Frankfurt. During her career at Lufthansa Group she gained experience in Customer Experience Design and corporate strategy in Frankfurt. During her assignment in Shanghai she developed the B2B service experience on new digital touchpoints.

In her former position as a Strategy Manager for Data-driven Customer Journey Jasmin created the target picture for data-driven customer interactions on digital, human and physical touchpoints. For example, she created and delivered an inflight digital interaction to make sustainability tangible for customers on board.

Currently Jasmin is leading the team for personalized interactions with Customer Analytics, using customer, operational and commercial data for the design and implementation of customer experiences on digital, human and inflight-experiences.

Jasmin is a certified SCRUM Master and scaled agile practitioner, currently developing agile methods and future delivery of digital and data-driven experiences along the whole customer journey within the Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar.
